What it is: The Man In Black sings for kids. His storytelling abilities and personal charm really shine on this classic CD, a re-release of a 1975 album with 4 bonus tracks not previously released.
Our favorite tracks: Z's favorite songs are probably "Nasty Dan," "I Got a Boy and His Name is John" (sung with June Carter Cash), and "There's a Little Green Fountain," which are pretty much Jeremiah's favorites, too. I really like Cash's version of "The Grandfather Clock," a song I remember from my childhood but never really understood until now.
Where to listen and buy: Amazon.com or iTunes.

You've got to be kidding me, McNichols family! We love that CD! I can't believe anyone else even knows about it.
"Nasty Dan," "I Got a Boy and His Name is John," and "There's a Little Green Fountain," are all favorites.
I guess "I Got A Boy..." would have to be my absolute favorite on the album. There's such a great exchange between Johnny and June Carter Cash, and when he gets to that verse:
He's got a friend and his name is Gibbs
Gibbs is so thin you could see his ribs
A dog named Seargent too
Watch out he might bite you
Johnny comes down on the word "bite" very hard, and Z shudders dramatically and acts all scandalized.
