I'm just becoming aware of the concerns with BPA. My 15 month old daughter drank from Avent bottles that were warmed in a warmer for 11 months. Since all this news has come out about the dangers of BPA, we've switched to BPA free plastic sippy cups and thermos cups. I'm just wondering if it's too late. Is she doomed to suffer from the effects of BPA contamination?
This is a response to an e-mail I sent to Earth's Best regarding the BPA in the cans of baby formula:
M. Burns,
Thank you for taking the time to contact us. We strive to maintain the highest quality products and appreciate your patronage.
Earth’s Best distributes the following powdered infant formula products:
- Earth's Best Organic™ Infant Formula with Iron
- Earth's Best Organic™ Infant Formula with Iron with DHA
- Earth's Best Organic™ Soy Infant Formula with Iron with DHA & ARA
All of these products are packaged in metal cans. Only the interior of the top end of the cans (the "easy-open" end) is an epoxy-based coating manufactured from BPA. The remainder of the cans (the can body and bottom end) do not contain BPA. All coatings meet the United States Food and Drug Administration requirements for food contact substances.
Earth's Best Infant powdered formulas have been tested by an independent third party. Results were reported as no detectable BPA. At Earth's Best there is nothing more important to us than the safety of your children. We are confident that we are offering only the safest and healthiest products for your family.
Thank you for your continued support. If we can be of further assistance, please feel free to contact us at 1-800-434-4246, Monday through Friday from 7AM - 5PM Mountain Time.
